Town To Distribute COVID Test Kits, N95 Masks Sunday

EAST HAVEN, CT — The planned Sunday distribution was scuttled due to forecasted bad weather. But East Haven doesn't give up. This Sunday, the at-home rapid test kits, and N95 masks, will be distributed at Industrial Park on Commerce Street from 10 a.m. to noon, or while supplies last.

The kits are "scarce, the town says and there are strict, n0-exceptoin guidelines created by the town in conjunction with the East Shore District Health Department.

• Folks should not arrive early and those that do will be "turned away."
• There is one test kit per household.
• Must be a town resident, driver’s license or State of Connecticut identification card as proof (have identification ready on arrival)
• 18 and older

The town asks that people wear a mask at the distribution point. The ask is also for those who got test kits at the first distribution to "please be considerate and do not participate in this event."

Residents that have not been vaccinated or received a booster can get their COVID-19 vaccine or booster now and can do so by visiting ct.gov/covidvaccine.

The Connecticut Department of Public Health is in the process of adding 7 more community testing sites to its current roster of 23 state-sponsored sites.
