EAST HAVEN, CT — Mayor Joseph A. Carfora told the New Haven Register that the town is looking at a $1.2 million deficit when the town's 2019-20 audit is completed and presented.

And, an even bigger deficit is likely for the current fiscal year. The budgets were prepared by the now-former Mayor Joe Maturo Jr.'s administration.

Patch reached out to Carfora for additional comment and information but his office said there's little else to say until the "audit is complete."
