EAST HAVEN, CT — All aboard for awesomeness.

On June 25, the Shore Line Trolley Museum kicks off its 2022 summer season with “Museum In Motion,” a day of parades, photo ops, trolley rides and bluegrass. This once-a-year event showcases meticulously restored antique trolley cars, work equipment, subway cars and electric locomotives, many of which aren’t usually on display to the public. The cars will be outdoors and ready for photo ops all day. And the trolleys come alive for two parades, the first at 11:30 a.m, and the second at 2:30 p.m.. Each car stops at the grandstand and visitors will hear a short narrative on each car and photos and videos can be taking while the cars are in motion.

Tickets are $15 and they are on sale now for both parades at www.shorelinetrolley.org and can be purchased online or at the door on the day of the event.

“We can’t think of a better way to kick off our 2022 summer season,” said the Shore Line Trolley
Museum’s Executive Director John Proto. “Thanks to funding from the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, we’re able to offer some new summer programs like Sensory Friendly Tuesday Afternoons and bring back some educational programs we haven’t been able to run since the start of the pandemic like Storytime Tuesdays, Guest Motorman Days, Scout Merit Badge programs and school and day camp field trips. We’re also looking forward to hosting some shared summer and fall fundraising events with other local non-profit organizations. Our calendar gets updated frequently, so visitors should check our website often.”
