EAST HAVEN, CT — East Haven schools superintendent Erica Forti said in a message to families that the district was notified that a member of the Tuttle School community has tested positive for coronavirus.

Forti said in a letter to families that the person was told to stay home and in self-isolation for 10 days. She said the person's family members were also "instructed to self-quarantine and get tested."

The person, whether a student or staff member is unknown, was last in Tuttle School on Monday. Forti said anyone who is considered a “close contact” with this person has been notified by the school or local health officials and provided with instructions on the appropriate steps to take.
