Twin Pines Diner Looks to Expand
The busy 24-hour East Haven eatery is hoping to add a small party room to its restaurant.
The has long been a favorite spot for a bite to eat and a cup of coffee for East Haven and other shoreline residents.
And now the 24-hour restaurant is hoping to expand.
The diner, which sits along Main Street near the Branford/East Haven town line, has submitted an application to the Planning & Zoning Commission to construct a 920 square foot addition to its building.

The addition, if approved, would be used as a "small party room," according to the agenda for tonight's planning commission meeting at the East Haven Senior Center. (The agenda is posted in the gallery that accompanies this article.)
Commissioners are expected to accept and discuss the application, and could also approve the proposed project at tonight's meeting.

'Elderly Facilities' Project
In other business, planning commission members are also expected to accept and consider a site plan modification application for a 51-unit "Planned Elderly Facilities District" development at 180 Strong Street
According to the agenda, the project has already been approved by the town but construction on the project has not yet begun.
Millbrook Plaza Vacancies
The board also intends on discussing proposed use for vacant tenant space at Millbrook Plaza, which sits at the Route 80/Mill Street intersection.
The plaza currently is home to a , , Capotorto's Appiza Center, as well as other stores and restaurants.
