Vincenza Ragaini obituary: Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, East Haven

Vincenza Ragaini, 80 of East Haven passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025 at Autumn Lake in Madison. She was born May 12, 1945 in Italy to the late Giovanna (Salerno) Simeoli. Vincenza is survived by her two devoted sons; Paolo Ragaini of Canton, GA and Gianni Ragaini (Josanna) of East Haven along with three grandchildren she adored; Nico Ragaini, Isabella Ragaini (Coy Sarsfield) and Taya Ragaini and one great granddaughter, Navy Jo Sarsfield.

Vincenza was a woman full of life, joy with deep affection for her family. She came to the United Sates at a young age and quickly picked up the language, developing an impressive command of English. Over the years, she built an amazing vocabulary and became fluent in multiple languages, including French and Spanish, in addition to English and her native Italian.

From a young age, she had a love for music and dancing, often spending time twirling to her favorite songs, and even appearing on American Bandstand, a memory she cherished throughout her life. She spent many days putting on her granddaughter’s Beats headphones, listening to her favorite ’60s tunes, especially “You Got It” by Roy Orbison.
