West End Sidewalk Improvement Project Enters 5th & Final Phase
The town learned it's been approved to get Local Transportation Capital Improvement Program funding to finish the beautification project.
EAST HAVEN, CT —The end is near.
The West End Sidewalk Improvement — Main Street project is in its fifth and final phase. And that's "great news for East Haven," says Mayor Joseph A. Carfora.
East Haven got confirmation that it will be awarded Local Transportation Capital Improvement Program (LOTCIP) funding for the final phase of the beautification project. Phase 5 will "bring us to the New Haven town line on Main Street," Carfora said.

"With this commitment of funding, the town of East Haven will be notified from the state when to start the bid process for this project," Carfora said.
"You can check out the current phase four project to see what this update will look like in the 500 block of Main Street," he said. "The new beautiful handicap accessible sidewalks are a great addition to the West End."
