Whiz Kid: Kevin Do

Activities: Drama club at EHHS, playing piano and violin, competitive pen spinning, building computers, studying Chinese calligraphy and composing music (to name a few).

Accomplishments: Accepted to the Summer Engineering Program for Young Scholars at the University of Maryland, participated in Pentel’s “Spin it to win it” competition and submitted to Volkswagen’s “Sign-THEN-Drive” promotional event.

Key to Awesomeness: Kevin, whose parents were born in Vietnam, speaks four languages fluently: English, Vietnamese, Cantonese and Korean. “Foreign languages fascinate me,” said Kevin, who was born in the United States.

Future plans: Attend UCLA or MIT for undergraduate school, double majoring in chemical and mechanical engineering, eventually earning a doctorate in the field. Kevin plans like to spend his summers abroad in South Korea, and outside of an engineering career, Kevin wants to pursue filmmaking.
