Accomplishment: “I don’t have too many accomplishments,” said Matthew. “I am only 10 but I do get straight A’s.”

Other Interests: Computer games, biking, pogo sticking and spending time with family.

Key to Awesomeness: “He is exceptionally bright and self motivated,” said Matthew’s 4th-grade teacher, Maryann Brennan. “Matthew researches topics he finds interesting on his own, then compiles reports on them in his spare time. He finds science very interesting and likes the way molecules look.”

Future Plans: Matthew has aspirations to become a chemist. He’d like to study chemical engineering at M.I.T. and from there, “the sky is the limit,” he said.
