If the “like” button on the East Haven Patch article is any indicator of an approval of an article to favor the topic of discussion Robert Parente’s rebuttal of Democratic Town Committee Marc Conti’s is a clearly a loser. Almost 24 hours later it only received 4 likes as opposed to my best release, “Maturo’s New Scheme To Get More Money From East Haven Taxpayers” Which received 423 likes. The power of our voice STOPPED Maturo from trying that game. Now we have to figure out what will it take to get this sexual harasser settler to finally resign. Not to worry East Haven, the public pressure will not stop and the truth will continue to surface over the next few days. Many in the Administration need to also pay close attention because the entire Maturo Administration is being looked at in all departments. Names have been given in sworn depositions and simple FOI requests can divulge ALL the information, documents and emails. Yes those who think they got away don’t put the towel or toilet paper away just yet.

Now on to Mr. Parente. You call yourself a leader? You cower every time Joe Maturo yells from the Mayors desk about something going on in Town that he doesn’t like. You’ve been fired how many times? Grow a set, be a man and take a stand! The State of Connecticut along with a good female attorney that has become the talking point for the battered of East Haven would most likely do pro bono for you if you just stop being a hypocrite yourself. Come on Bob, Manafort and Cohen flipped and so can you!

We also have news for you, Bob, your Republican Town Committee is also talking quite a bit. We know about the yelling matches, we know about the Town Attorney running out the door in tears and we know about your delusional speech that you are receiving unbelievable response from the community. Ever hear the phrase the wheels are falling off the bus? It’s more like the bus is stopped at a traffic light and Maturo himself is removing the wheels. Bob wake up! You are on the wrong side defending Maturo! You know what he’s like. You’ve told half the town about how abusive Maturo is so really Bob who is the HYPOCRITE?

Bob, you do know that next to sexual harassment is a term you should get yourself familiar with called “Hostile Work Environment” That too is illegal and a prohibited practice. So Bob the real question is when will you stop your “protection” of this man who is your boss and give your own deposition of the crap you’ve endured. Maybe if you stood up to Maturo and stopped pontificating his excuses maybe we could all just move on.

Lastly Bob, you have laid the ground work to have James Albis serve another two years in Hartford because in all three leadership positions in our Town you have shown the 33,000 residents of East Haven that you don’t belong anywhere near Hartford representing us. You missed a golden opportunity to do the right thing regardless of party and demand that Joe Maturo resign not next week but TODAY.
