Yale Bulldogs Battled Duke University to the End in NCAA Basketball Tournament
Yale was attempting to make the Sweet 16 on Saturday afternoon against one of the nation's most famous college basketball programs.

The score at the half between Yale University versus Duke University in the second round of the NCAA tournament was 48 to 25 with Duke out to a commanding lead.
But a 15-0 spurt in the second half got Yale back in the game and they got within 7 with 11:38 remaining. Duke kept the game to a 10 point margin or so until Yale closed within 4 points with a couple of minutes remaining.
Yale was within 3 points with a minute remaining but Duke pushed it back to a 5 point margin with 30 seconds remaining.

In the end Duke held on for the narrow victim 71-64 ending Yale's dreams of shocking the world and making the Sweet 16.

Prior to Thursday, no Division I men's college basketball team from the state of Connecticut outside of Storrs had ever won a game in the NCAA tournament.
Yale University put an end to that drought, upsetting Baylor 79-75 in the opening round at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, RI.
The University of Connecticut men's basketball team will try and advance to the Sweet 16 against the No. 1 seed Kansas Jayhawks tonight.
