New Details Released In Ellington Standoff Involving Suspect
The incident began at 3 a.m. and was resolved after 5 hours.

UPDATE: State Police released new details concerning the man who engaged troopers in a five-hour standoff on West Road early Saturday. State Police said troopers responded to the address around 3 a.m. as there had been a disturbance in the home in which a gun had been fired outside of the home.
No one was injured. State Police said they believed the person who was responsible for firing the gun was still inside the home and they tried to contact him but that was not successful.
After some time, troopers made contact with the suspect and he entered the home and was taken into custody, State Police said. The investigation is ongoing and the name of the accused has not yet been released.
