Cedarville University, Cedarville OH

• Cedarville University student Amanda Moffitt of Ellington, majoring in Nursing, was named to the Dean's Honor List for spring 2020. This recognition required Moffitt to maintain a 3.75 GPA and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Curry College, Milton MA

• Curry College is proud to announce that Jessica Allard of Somers has been inducted into the Alexander Graham Bell Honor Society. This Honor Society inducts up to ten percent of the senior class, and up to five percent of the junior class. Members serve as a resource for the Academic Deans and the faculty and they recommend ways the academic environment of the College can be enriched. Allard was also inducted into Pi Lambda Theta (PLT), one of the nation's most prestigious education honor societies. In order to qualify for Pi Lambda Theta at Curry College, a student must be an Education major who has earned at least 60 credits with a minimum 3.5 GPA. Inducted students have exceeded the stringent criteria set by the honors society and demonstrate promise in the field of education.

To earn a place on the list, full-time undergraduate students - those who carry 12 or more graded credits per semester - must earn a 3.3 grade-point-average (GPA) or higher. Area honorees are Jessica Allard of Somers, majoring in Elementary Education; Zachary Mozzer of Ellington, majoring in Management; Katie Bartlett of Ellington, majoring in Nursing; Hannah Mozzer of Ellington, majoring in Nursing; and Mackenzie Wyllie of Somers, majoring in Nursing.

Lasell University, Newton MA

• Lisa Pare and Destini Blake, both of Ellington, were named to the Dean's List for their academic accomplishments in the spring 2020 semester. To be named to the Dean's List, Lasell students must complete at least 12 credits as a full-time student and achieve a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Ohio University, Athens OH

• Olivia Dutkewych of Ellington has been named to OHIO's spring 2020 Dean's List. OHIO students must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average for the semester with a schedule of classes totaling at least 15 hours, 12 of which were taken for letter grades, to achieve this distinction.

Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester NH

• Colin Holmes of Ellington was named to Southern New Hampshire University's (SNHU) winter 2020 President's List. The winter term runs from January to May. Eligibility for the President's List requires that a student accumulate an academic grade point average (GPA) of 3.7-4.0 and earn 12 credits for the semester.

University of New Haven, West Haven CT

• Renae Giard of Ellington was named to the Dean's List at the University of New Haven for the spring 2020 semester.

Western New England University, Springfield MA

• Anthony Barile of Somers was welcomed virtually into Alpha Mu Alpha National Honor Society on May 14 at the Western New England University chapter's annual induction ceremony. Alpha Mu Alpha is the national marketing honorary society for qualified undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral marketing students and marketing faculty. Under the auspices of the American Marketing Association (AMA), Alpha Mu Alpha acknowledges outstanding scholastic achievement on a highly competitive basis. Honor recipients must be senior undergraduate students with a minimum overall GPA of 3.25, members of the Western New England University Marketing Association, and members of the University's Collegiate Chapter of the American Marketing Association. Barile is graduating with a BSBA in Marketing.
