SOMERS, CT — Firefighters were on scene of a second-alarm structure fire on Maple St. early Thursday morning, according to the Somers Fire Department.
The department said in a post at 4:34 a.m. Thursday that personnel were currently at the scene and asked people to avoid the area.
The fire was reported at a two-story wood-frame home, but it was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured.
Crews from several surrounding departments were called to help, including departments from Hazardville, Shaker Pines, Enfield, West Stafford, Stafford and Broad Brook.
