Free Concert Series Starts Thursday In Ellington

The Ellington Opioid Awareness Committee is organizing the concerts, which will include food trucks and prevention resources.

ELLINGTON, CT — A free summer concert series in Ellington begins Thursday, bringing live music, food trucks and community resources to Market Park.

The Hope, Help, Heal Concert Series, organized by the Ellington Opioid Awareness Committee, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Market Park, 72 Maple Street, according to Ellington Human Services.

The first concert is scheduled for Thursday, June 18, with New City Road Band performing.

Additional concerts are scheduled for July 16 with Big Deal Rock Band and Aug. 20 with Acoustic Rick.

Ellington Human Services said the free community concerts are intended to bring people together for music, fun and connection, while also providing information and resources about opioid awareness and prevention.

Food trucks will also be available.
