ELLINGTON, CT — A suspected drunken driver is facing a pair of charges after an accident in Ellington, a state police report indicates.
Troop C recently released a report on the July 15 incident.
It took place at 4:21 a.m.
According to a crash report, a 35-year-old Stafford man was heading north on Stafford Road in a 2013 Ford Focus, just south of Crystal Lake Road.
Suddenly, the car veered off the left side of the road and smashed into a metal wire barrier, according to a crash report.
No injuries were reported, but the driver then failed sobriety tests and was charged with driving under the influence and a lane violation, according to a crash report.
