ELLINGTON, CT — Route 83 is closed in both directions between Hoffman and Strawberry roads after a tractor-trailer crash involving power lines Friday afternoon.
A traffic alert reported the crash at about 12:26 p.m. and listed the road closure three minutes later.
Information about injuries, the condition of the power lines and a reopening timeline was not immediately available. Motorists should avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
