State Police: Somers Man Damages School Bus

SOMERS, CT — A Somers man was arrested after officers responded to a report of someone damaging a school bus at Beverly Drive and Sky Ridge Drive, according to Connecticut State Police.

Officers were called to the intersection at 3:10 p.m. Sept. 16, the arrest summary says. Jacob McCollum, 29, of Somers, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree breach of peace.

First Student, a school bus company, is listed in the report's victim section. The portion of the report provided does not say what was damaged or whether anyone was aboard the bus.

McCollum's bond was set at $500 non-surety. He is scheduled to appear in Rockville Superior Court on Oct. 5.
