ELLINGTON — The Ellington Farmers Market will wrap up its outdoor season with a festive Halloween market on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 9 a.m. to noon at Market Park, 72 Maple Street.

Customers are invited to bring their pets dressed in their Halloween finest for the Halloween Pet Parade at 11 a.m. With prizes up for grabs, the parade promises plenty of creative costumes and tail-wagging fun.

The final outdoor market also offers an opportunity to stock up on seasonal produce, locally made foods and favorite market treats before a short November break. Shoppers can visit with local farmers and producers, fill their baskets and celebrate the close of another season of community connections. Free Range Humans will be providing the musical entertainment.

The break will be brief: the winter market makes its debut on Saturday, Nov. 21, at Ellington High School, 37 Maple Street. The move indoors will give customers a place to continue shopping locally as the holiday season approaches.

Until then, gather your shopping bags, put the finishing touches on your pet's costume and join the Ellington Farmers Market for one last outdoor Saturday of the season.
