ELLINGTON-SOMERS, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Hofstra University, Hempstead NY

• Megan Chamberland of Ellington excelled during the fall 2018 semester, achieving a GPA of at least 3.5 to earn a spot on the Dean's List.

Springfield Technical Community College, Springfield MA

• Amanda Gaines of Ellington and Michael Dalessio, Jr., Nicole McKee and Christine Neseralla, all of Somers, were named to the STCC Dean's List for the fall 2018 semester. Matriculated students carrying 12 or more college-level credits and a 3.3 GPA within a semester will be awarded Dean’s List status provided that no grade is less than a “C” (2.0) or an incomplete grade during that semester. In addition, Dean’s List status will be awarded to matriculated students who have earned a combined total of 12 or more college-level credits with a 3.3 GPA over the previous two consecutive semesters provided that no grade is less than a “C” (2.0) or an incomplete grade in the two semesters being evaluated.
