Arts from the Heart celebrates the season with special events

Arts group offers holiday open house, mini-sessions and drop-in sing-along classes in December.

Arts from the Heart, LLC is offering a wide variety of events to celebrate the holiday season. Be sure to check out all we have to offer!

Christmas Wonderland: December 5, 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Get in the Christmas spirit at Ellington Commons! Join Arts from the Heart and Country Clubhouse for some seasonal fun before heading to Winter Fest. Arts from the Hearts will feature instrument making, a visit from Santa, holiday sing-alongs and door prizes! Visit neighbor Country Clubhouse for Gingerbread house decorating, ornament making, face painting, and pizza, snacks and hot cocoa! This is great way to kick off the holiday season. Both locations are accepting donations of non-perishable food for the Cornerstone Food Pantry.

Mini-sessions:

Arts from the Heart, LLC is holding three-week “mini-sessions” of its award-winning Music Together® program, at its locations in Manchester and South Windsor. The session will feature Music Together’s Family Favorites — a collection of classic and much-loved Music Together songs. These are a great opportunity for Music Together participants to continue their growth in music in between Music Together’s 10-week sessions. They also are a great way for newcomers to give Music Together a try. Mini-sessions are $50 and run for three weeks. Register at http://www.artsfromtheheart.net/holiday-happenings-2015.html

The mini sessions are being held at:

Emanuel Lutheran Church, Manchester

· Wednesdays 10 a.m. beginning Dec. 2.

· Thursdays 5:15 p.m. beginning Dec. 3.

Footloose Dance Academy, South Windsor

· Tuesdays 10 a.m. beginning Dec. 1

Drop-ins

Arts from the Heart, LLC is offering six “drop-in” sessions in December. These sessions will feature songs from Music Together® Family Favorites session, sing-along story books and holiday songs. Drop-ins are free and open to the public, but donations are being accepted for KidSafe in Rockville. We are asking families to register at http://www.artsfromtheheart.net/holiday-happenings-2015.html.

Drop-ins will be held on the following dates at our Ellington studio

· Tuesday, Dec. 8, 9:30 a.m.

· Wednesday, Dec. 9, 10 a.m.

· Thursday, Dec. 10, 10:15 a.m.

· Friday, Dec. 18, 9:30 a.m.

Two drop-ins are being held at Arts Center East in Vernon

· Monday, Dec. 14, 5:45 p.m.

· Wednesday, Dec. 16, 9:30 a.m.

Pajama Story-time Class

Arts from the Heart, LLC is holding a special pajama story-time class Thursday, Dec. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the Arts from the Heart Studio in Ellington. Children (and parents!) are encouraged to wear their comfortable pajamas while we sing and read stories of the season! Donations will be collected for KidSafe in Rockville. The event is free, but we are asking families to register at http://www.artsfromtheheart.net/holiday-happenings-2015.html.
