SOMERS, CT — Here are a few important dates to mark down from the Somers public school system's 2016-17 calendar:
- Aug. 25: CIAC official first day of fall sports practice.
- Aug. 31: First day of school.
- Nov. 24-25: Thanksgiving recess.
- Dec. 23 (early dismissal) - Jan 2: Holiday recess.
- Feb 20-21: Presidents Day/professional development.
- April 10-14: Spring break.
- June 7: Last day of school.
