You’re a wife, mother, and boss. You have a lot going on and a lot to think about.
By the time you get home from work – with your mind still swirling, thinking about things that need to get done at work – it’s time to help the kids with homework, go to a sporting event, get dinner ready, and get the kids bathed and into bed.
Where does time for housework come in? Sometimes, it doesn’t feel like there are enough hours in the day.
There may not be enough hours in the day to do everything, but you can at least do a little bit each day to keep things in check until the weekend – or whenever you have a day off to get some deeper cleaning done.
If you start out the day by doing a few things – like throwing in some laundry – you will feel more ready for the day.
Doing simple things, like cleaning the sink, can make things seem less overwhelming. You can also take a little time each day to quickly clean up. This will help to keep the frustration away.
A nightly kitchen clean up can also help to ease the frustration. With children, being organized is also a key. Keep the toys in a bin or a basket, and limit the toys to one room.
If you’re finding that you can’t do it all, don’t feel guilty. Know that you are not alone and can discuss your feelings with your partner.
Finding that no matter how hard you try, you can’t keep up? Let Maid Brigade of Northern Connecticut take it from here. Use the free time that you do have to do the things you enjoy and spend quality time with those you love most.
