2-Alarm Barn Fire Reported Behind Somers Entertainment Complex
A second alarm was activated and units from neighboring towns responded, according to police.
SOMERS, CT — A barn fire has been reported at the Pleasant View Golf Center on Route 83, according to police.
A second alarm has been activated at the property at 452 South Road, police said. Pleasant View Golf Center features a driving range, a banquet hall, a restaurant and an arcade.
Police classified the blaze as a "fully involved barn fire." Smoke could be seen from Billings Road, about 2 miles away. A building on the west side of the property was in flames.

Scanner reports indicated several tankers were called to the scene. They were seen filling up at a hydrant about a quarter-mile away in Ellington.
