From Books To Birdies: Mini Golf Is Taking Over An Ellington Library

Hall Memorial Library will transform into an indoor mini-golf course for a one-day family event.

ELLINGTON, CT — Families in Ellington will soon have a chance to tee off inside an unexpected venue, as Hall Memorial Library is set to transform into an indoor mini golf course for a one-day community event.

The Mini Golf at the Library fundraiser will take place Saturday, Jan. 31, at Hall Memorial Library, 93 Main St., running from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the last tee time scheduled for 4 p.m. Organizers say the event is designed as an all-day, drop-in activity that families can enjoy at their own pace.

The library will be set up with a mini golf course winding through the building, along with snacks, face painting, and raffles throughout the day. The event is billed as family-friendly, with activities geared toward children of all ages as well as parents.

Pricing is structured to keep the event accessible. Children under age 3 can play for free, while ages 3 and up cost $5 with cash or $5.50 with a credit card. In addition to mini golf, attendees can take part in a tea cup raffle, with tickets priced at $1 for one ticket, $10 for 12 tickets, or $20 for 25 tickets.

The event is being held with support from the Friends of Hall Memorial Library and a long list of local sponsors, with proceeds helping support library programs and community offerings.

Library officials encourage residents to stop by at any point during the day, noting that no advance registration is required and participants can arrive whenever it fits their schedule.

The event will be held entirely indoors.
