You Are Not Alone
Many people are going through very difficult personal challenges. It is helpful to know that you are not alone in these challenging times.
Well, it’s Friday at 5:15pm and I suppose, if you work a 9-5 job, your work week is over. For those of us who are self-employed, the lines between work and non-work hours tend to get a little blurred…..ok, a lot blurred! So, I had one last thought that I wanted to share with you all before I officially go into weekend mode.
I was thinking about what a really crazy couple of weeks it’s been for my clients. Many of them are going through very difficult personal changes, from job loss to relationship break-up, to recalling painful childhood traumas. Many have been sick, one fell down a flight of stairs, one broke a toe, another had a car accident and several have simply “forgotten” to keep their appointments. Something is definitely going on!
I haven’t been immune to the challenges, nor have the people closest to me. I believe that what I see in my life, my clients’ lives and in the lives of those closest to me is a pretty accurate reflection of what’s happening in the bigger world. The difference is that I get to see how many other people are struggling, in pain and feeling all alone. As a coach, psychotherapist and energy healer, I see a lot of people throughout the week. This allows me to see that what I may be experiencing in my personal life isn’t unique to me. It helps me put things in perspective, realizing that many people are experiencing major shifts and changes. While I don’t wish ill will for my clients or friends, I do take some comfort in knowing that I am not alone. It is a time of great change and the effects are showing up everywhere. Whether you explain it as moving into 2012, cosmic changes, planetary alignment, numerology, or the Shift, there’s no denying that the energies of change are upon us in a big way.

It occurred to me a few minutes ago that most people don’t have the same ability as I do to see the greater picture, to know that they are not alone. So, before I could call it a week I wanted to offer a few thoughts that might lighten the load.
You are not alone. Lots of people are going through many personal changes as we move through this time of great transition. We all need support at this time. Reach out to others, find support, support someone else, and create community. Engage in therapy, coaching or a support group.

You are not alone. You are a spiritual being in a spiritual universe. You are surrounded by all the guidance, wisdom and love that you need. Find ways to tap into this non-physical support through meditation, yoga, journaling, being in nature, reading inspiring material, finding a spiritual community, or pursuing a creative outlet. The more you can connect with Spirit, the easier this ride will be.
It will get better. In order to bring in more light we have to release that which is not light. In other words, we need to clear the old, moldy stuff out of the back of the fridge to make room for new fresh and healthy food. The challenges that you are facing are all opportunities to look at old moldy patterns, beliefs and behaviors that may be limiting your growth. They don’t serve you any more. They need to come to the surface of your awareness and be released so that you can blossom into your beautiful, authentic and joyful self.
There’s more that I can say but now its 6pm and I am going to call it a week! Stay tuned for some other thoughts on this subject next week. I hope these few thoughts will be of some value to you in the days ahead. Namaste!
