Join the Ellington Trails Committee and the Vernon Greenways Volunteers for a walk and hike along the Hockanum River as part of CT Trails Day. We will meet at the parking lot at Pinney Fields. The hike features bountiful wildlife including multiple bird species and fowl, inland marshland, and a calm and babbling river. You will be able to cross the suspension bridge and see the work of beaver and other wildlife. You will have the option of a 2 mile round trip hike or a 5 mile round trip hike.
