Assumption College, Worcester MA

• The Assumption Department of Economics has announced that Spencer Marocchini, of Somers, has become a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the International Honor Society for those who study economics. Marocchini, Class of 2020, was inducted into the honor society during a ceremony on March 28.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Fifteen Eastern Connecticut State University students recently returned from the American Southwest after studying desert ecology in a global field course (GFC) with the biology department. The trip took place from March 9-17 and was supervised by professors Brett Mattingly and Matthew Graham. Among the students in attendance was Tyler Hubley of Ellington, who majors in Secondary Education and Biology.
