Campus Highlights For Ellington, Somers College Students

ELLINGTON-SOMERS, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

American International College, Springfield MA

• Joshua Weintraub, of Ellington, received a doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from American International College at the 134th Commencement ceremony in May. More than 600 undergraduate and graduate degrees were awarded by the College with students representing 22 states and nine countries.

Roger Williams University, Bristol RI

• Nicole Hanna and Leeza Regulbuto, both of Somers, and Madison Fox of Ellington have been named to the spring 2019 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.

Western New England University, Springfield MA

• Alexander Coverdill of Somers received the The Mechanical Engineering Department Award for Outstanding Senior at the May 18, 2019 College of Engineering Awards Ceremony in Rivers Memorial Hall on the University campus. This award is presented to a senior industrial engineering student who has demonstrated academic success with an outstanding grade point average and has demonstrated professionalism in their studies. Coverdill graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
