SOMERS, CT — Police have identified two people killed in a Friday afternoon Somers crash. Operator Ruth Chake, 72, of Springfield and Bette Bardsley, 69, of East Longmeadow were killed after the car went off the road and crashed <a href="http://fox61.com/2017/09/09/two-people-killed-after-a-car-crashed-into-a-tree-in-somers/?utm_campaign=trueAnthem:+Trending+Content&amp;utm_content=59b3f51104d30127a6eb5dd1&amp;utm_medium=trueAnthem&amp;utm_source=twitter" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">head-on into a tree</a>, state police said.
