Car Takes Out Pole in Ellington Business District on Friday
Power was restored by the time area businesses opened.

ELLINGTON CT — A car took out a pole on Route 83 and briefly knocked out power in a congested area of town, emergency officials said.
The crash was reported on Twitter by Tolland County 911 at about 4:30 a.m.
A car had hit a pole on Route 83 near Mountain Road — a busy commercial intersection, according to Tolland County 911.

As late as 10 a.m., Eversource Energy was reporting 79 customer outages, but representatives for Kloter Farms and Holiday restaurant said that their businesses had power.
