A car took out a sign near Crystal Lake In Ellington, state police said.

ELLINGTON, CT — A car took out a traffic sign in a crash near Crystal Lake, state police said.
A state police report was made available Moinday on the Dec. 10 incident. At 5:47 p.m. that day, a 2008 Volvo was heading east on Sandy Beach Road and was in the process of making a right turn onto Crystal Ridge Drive, according to a report.
The car skidded and hit a "No Outlet" sign posted about 100 feet onto Crystal Ridge, according to a report.

The driver, a 16-year-old from Ellington, was cited for a lane violation, state police said.
