ELLINGTON, CT — State police are investigating a reported home invasion and armed robbery at an Ellington residence early Saturday morning, in which a considerable amount of cash and jewelry was taken at gunpoint.

Around 3:59 a.m., residents of a home told police three Hispanic men, wearing all black clothing, had forced entry into the home and tied up the occupants. They said one of the men pointed a firearm at the head of one of the residents and demanded money, state police said.

A large amount of cash and jewelry was taken from the residents, who own a jewelry store in another town. No injuries were reported, according to police.
