Catalytic Converters Reported Stolen In Ellington: State Police

ELLINGTON, CT — State police are investigating the theft of catalytic converters from several vehicles on West Road in Ellington last week.

In the early morning hours of April 4, converters were reported stolen at Homestead Fuel and Green Meadow Lawn Care, both at 100 West Road. Another converter was cut from a school bus at Educational Playcare at 135 West Road, police said.

A vehicle described in connection with the thefts is a dark color 4-door sedan, possibly a black Nissan Altima, with no front license plate, silver/gray colored rims and tinted rear windows. Two unknown individuals, and at least a third as the driver, exited the vehicle and cut off the converters, police said.
