CO Detectors Trigger Evacuation At Starbucks
Carbon monoxide detectors alerted occupants at the West Road building, allowing everyone to evacuate safely.
ELLINGTON, CT — The Ellington Volunteer Fire Department responded Tuesday to a carbon monoxide incident at 135 West Road after elevated levels of the gas were detected inside the building.
Ellington Volunteer Fire Department officials said high levels of carbon monoxide were found during monitoring. All occupants were evacuated safely, and no injuries were reported.

The affected commercial plaza includes Jersey Mike’s Subs, Starbucks, and Hartford HealthCare Urgent Care.
