ELLINGTON-SOMERS, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Assumption College, Worcester MA

• Sarah Riley of Ellington was one of 635 graduates to receive a degree during Assumption College's 102nd Commencement exercises on Sunday, May 12, held at the DCU Center in downtown Worcester.
• Assumption College has announced that 558 undergraduate students, or recent graduates, have been named to the College's prestigious Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester. Three local students are among the honorees: Sarah Riley of Ellington, Trevor Wilcox of Somers and Caroline Casey of Ellington. To receive recognition, students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 for a five-class, 15-credit semester. The Dean's List is announced following the spring and fall semesters.

University of Scranton, Scranton PA

• John H. Connelly of Ellington was among more than 850 bachelor's and associate's degree recipients at its undergraduate commencement on May 26 at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre. Connelly earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance.
