Clemson University, Clemson SC

• Two students from Ellington have been named to the fall 2018 President's List at Clemson University. They are Brandon Lewis Bogrette, who is majoring in Mathematical Sciences, and Annika R. Nordmark, who is majoring in Food Science and Human Nutrition. To be named to the President's List, a student must achieve a 4.0 (all As) grade-point average.

Springfield College, Springfield MA

• Fourteen local Springfield College students were named to the Dean's List for academic excellence for the fall 2018 term: Lucas VanDeventer of Ellington, studying Communication/Sport Journalism; Christopher Mailhot of Somers, studying Criminal Justice; Daniel Leonard of Ellington, studying Exploratory Studies; Zachary Varnauskas of Somers, studying Health Science and Pre-Physical Therapy; Dakota Aldrich of Ellington, studying Health Science and Pre-Physical Therapy; Alec Kapino of Somers, studying Health Science/Pre-physician Assistant; Kenneth McCarthy of Somers, studying Health Science/Pre-physician Assistant; Haley Burgmyer of Somers, studying Health Science/Pre-physician Assistant; Halie Glowacki of Ellington, studying Health Science/Pre-physician Assistant; Connor Roberts of Somers, studying Health Science/Pre-physician Assistant; Lauren Eastwood of Somers, studying Health Science; Corey Maznicki of Somers, studying Movement & Sport Studies; John Poitras of Somers, studying Psychology; and Abigail Wylie of Ellington, studying Sport Management. Criteria for selection to the dean's list requires that the student must have a minimum grade point average of 3.500 for the semester.
