• Eastern Connecticut State University's Mathematical Sciences Department held its annual Kappa Mu Epsilon mathematics national honor society induction in the Johnson Room of the J. Eugene Smith Library on April 26. Among the inductees was Lauren Zabilansky of Ellington, who majors in Mathematics.

Ithaca College, Ithaca NY

• Sarah Karszes, an Ithaca College student from Somers, was named to the Dean's List for the spring 2019 semester. Karszes is majoring in Clinical Health Studies .

• Justin Talbot of Somers has been named to the Deans' List/Explore Center List of Distinguished Students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the spring semester of the 2018-19 academic year. Talbot, a sophomore actuarial science major, was named to the Dean's List for the College of Business.
