College Students From Ellington, Somers Achieve Milestones

ELLINGTON-SOMERS, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Nearly 100 students are participating in Eastern Connecticut State University's highly selective University Honors Program this 2019-20 academic year. Of these students is Natalie Devlin of Somers, who majors in History and Social Science. This is Devlin's second year in the program. The Honors Program accepts highly motivated and academically driven students. When accepted into the program, students are required to complete several additional classes, including a capstone course in which students complete a thesis based around their academic major.

Goodwin College, East Hartford CT

• Chandler Myers has earned a spot on the Goodwin College's President's List for summer 2019. Chandler, a student from Ellington, is one of 230 students to make the President's List, all of whom scored a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Sacred Heart University, Fairfield CT

• Reagan Olson of Ellington is a member of the equestrian team at Sacred Heart this fall. A freshman, Olson graduated from Ellington High School.
