Davis Seeking Re-Election To State House
He was endorsed by his party unanimously.

ELLINGTON, CT - State Representative Christopher Davis (Rβ Ellington) has announced his intentions to seek re-election to the Connecticut House of Representatives for the 57th Assembly District, which includes Ellington and most of East Windsor.
He made the announcement Friday in a statement released to Patch.
Davis was first elected to the state House to represent the 57th District in 2010, and currently serves as assistant Republican leader and ranking member of the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee. He is also a member of the Energy and Technology and Housing committees.

Davis received the unanimous endorsement of the Republican Party at its nominating convention on May 16 at Ellington Town Hall.
"I am truly humbled and grateful every day for the opportunity to represent the people of East Windsor and Ellington in the state House," Davis said. "As our state continues to face fiscal crises in the years to come due to harmful policies coming out of Hartford, there is still more work to be done in order to continue to help make a better Connecticut, and I will continue to work hard to best represent the interests of the people of East Windsor and Ellington in Hartford."

Davis said in his role as the top ranking Republican on the legislatureβs tax policy committee he will continue "efforts to make Connecticut more affordable for residents and employers."
Her also said he would continue his "leading role in the bipartisan working group of legislators dedicated to helping find assistance for those residents affected with the crumbling foundation issue that is impacting eastern Connecticut."
In addition to "casting votes and proposing legislation," Davis pointed to "constituent services" as his main priority.
βDuring these difficult economic times, we need a representative that can help our community members and businesses receive the assistance they need from state government, and I have been that representative,β Davis said. "I look forward to continuing to host numerous town hall meetings, office hours, and small business forums to keep our community informed of the issues that are important to them. I desire to continue this dialogue to help make Connecticut, and our community, an even better place to live, raise a family, and operate a business."
An Ellington resident raised in East Windsor, Davis attended East Windsor public schools from kindergarten through high school graduation. He continued his education at the University of Connecticut, where he obtained both a bachelorβs and a masterβs degree in political science.
Davis, who turns 30 in August, currently practices real estate in the greater Hartford area, and resides in Ellington with his wife, Emily, and daughter, Evelyn.
