Don’t Put Away Your Market Basket Yet: Ellington Farmers Market Continues Through October
Four more Saturdays of local food, fall fun and community connections remain at Market Park.

ELLINGTON — There is still plenty of time to visit the Ellington Farmers Market this fall. The market will continue each Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at Market Park, 72 Maple St., through Oct. 31.
The extended outdoor season gives residents several more opportunities to purchase locally grown produce, baked goods, meats, cheeses, prepared foods, jams, maple products, handmade items and other products from area farmers and small businesses.
October features a lineup of special market days designed to celebrate the season and bring the community together. Upcoming themes include Go Green Day on Oct. 10, Pumpkin & Squash Harvest Day on Oct. 17, and Many Cultures, One Community on Oct. 24 and the outdoor season will conclude Oct. 31 with a Halloween Pet Parade, giving shoppers and their four-legged friends a festive way to celebrate the final Saturday at Market Park.

The Ellington Farmers Market has become a gathering place for residents as well as a venue for local farmers, food producers and artisans to connect directly with the community. They continue to match SNAP and FMNP benefits and provide live music each week.
Following the final outdoor market, the Farmers Market will move indoors to Ellington High School, 37 Maple St., with the winter market opening Saturday, Nov. 21. The indoor market will continue on select Saturdays throughout the winter.
