Driver Caught With 100-Plus Grams of Pot After Speeding in Somers
A driver was charged with pot possession

SOMERS, CT — An Ellington was was caught speeding along Route 83 in Somers last week. He was then caught with a stash of marijuana, state police said.
The incident involving 21-year-old Ellington resident Benjamin Desilets, took place at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, according to an arrest report.
State police said he was going at "a high rate of speed" on South Road. After he was pulled over, troopers discovered 120 grams of pot on him, according to an arrest report.

He was charged with possessing drug paraphernalia and possessing marijuana, according to an arrest report.
He is due in court on April 9, state police said.
