Driver Killed When Car Hits Truck in Ellington

A Massachusetts man was killed in a crash early Thursday in Ellington, state police said.

ELLINGTON, CT — A Massachusetts man was killed early Thursday morning when his car hit a truck, state police said.

The crash took place at 1:43 a.m. on Route 32, state police said. A 2001 Toyota Camry driven by 48-year-old Christopher William Robicheau, of Oakham, MA, was traveling southbound near the Willington border when it crossed the double-yellow center line and hit the front end of a FedEx tractor-trailer, according to a crash report.

Robicheau was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a report. The driver of the truck was not injured, state police said.
