Driver Takes Out Sign in Sunday Crash in Somers
The crash took place Sunday evening, state police said.

SOMERS, CT — A wayward Hyundai veered off a busy state road and took out a highway sign on Sunday evening, but the driver escaped the adventure without being injured, state police said.
State police said Richard Pagani, 58, of Bernardino Avenue, Enfield, was traveling eastbound on state Route 190 on Sunday evening in his 2011 Hyundai Sonata when he suddenly lost control while approaching the intersection of Maple Ridge Road.
The car went off the right side of the road and struck the sign, state police said.

The car did not need to be towed and Pagani was not injured, state police said.
