The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:
Our town is at a crossroads and the education of our children is at the forefront. We need to attract and retain the most talented educators by giving them more of a voice in decision making and ending the top down model of leadership that stifles innovation.
Critical differences between me and my opponents:
My background and career in psychology gives me a unique perspective on education in a time when we are facing a crisis in youth mental health. I understand the importance of education beyond just traditional academics.
Accomplishments:
I currently run my own business and have also worked for state government in the judiciary. I enjoy engaging people and educating people and solving problems.
Other issues:
COVID safety protocols are very important. The plan for new or refurbished school buildings to accommodate our growing population is also a key to the future. Rigorous academic standards across grades.
What else would you like voters to know about you?
I always try my best to be understanding, compassionate and empathic. I believe these qualities, along with honesty and integrity, and will also make me an excellent advocate for the children and families of Ellington.
