The single biggest issue in town is ______, and I plan to do this about it:

Population growth. We need to manage the growing needs of our population by meeting their social, recreational, and educational and public safety needs. This requires us to listen to the public and plan responsibly.

Critical differences between me and my opponents:

I have lived in Ellington for 64 years, attended Ellington Public Schools, and been a public safety volunteer for over 50 years in Ellington. I believe I have a basic understanding of Ellington's needs and can articulate them in our growing environment.

Accomplishments:

Elected to 7 terms on the Board of Selectmen. Ellington 911 Municipal Coordinator for 36 years. Fire Chief for 10 years, Assistant Chief or Deputy Chief for 25 years. Bachelor and Masters Degree in Education. 10 years experience as a Finance Director for a non profit organization. 25 years service to the Board of Directors of the Tolland County Mutual Aid Fire Service, and Inc. Holder of numerous certifications concerning Fire-Rescue emergency services programs.

Other issues:

Listening to the concerns expressed by our citizens. Following the guidance of the State of Connecticut Statues, Town Charter, town ordinances, and town policies and procedures.

What else would you like voters to know about you?

My interest is serving the Town of Ellington and it's citizens. I have no higher political aspirations.
