Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?

I have been a resident of Ellington and a practicing physician specializing in obstetrics and gynecology for 33 years. I raised three children who attended the Ellington Public Schools.
I believe that having diverse representation on the board of education is crucial. It is important to give voice for people from varied backgrounds within our community. This will ensure that the needs and concerns of all students, parents, and educators are respected and considered.
My background as a physician brings a unique perspective to the board. I will advocate for a holistic education that includes and promotes health and wellness. I will be a valuable resource using my medical knowledge to address health-related issues in our schools.
My decision to run is driven by a genuine desire to serve our community and contribute to the continued improvement of our educational system. My 33 years as a practicing physician reflects my commitment to public service.

I will advocate for an educational environment that serves and uplift all learners regardless of their backgrounds or abilities.
I recognize the key role that educators and support staff play in the educational process. I intend to advocate for their needs and ensure they have the resources and support necessary to excel in their vital roles.
My goal is to enhance the overall wellbeing of our community by sustaining a passionate commitment to excellence in education. A robust educational system benefits everyone and contributes to the growth and prosperity of our community.
The overall wellbeing of our community can be achieved by ardent support of all our candidates on Row “A”. Please vote Row “A” all the way on election day.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is \_\_\_, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Our current system may not adequately provide a learning environment that addresses the needs of all of our students. I will advocate for support of our educators by seeking grants and other funding, advocating for full time resource officers and advocating for more programming that focuses on emotional and social wellbeing of our learners.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I am a medical educator as well as a practicing physician. My passion is promoting health and wellness. My experience as a physician and educator will be a resource to the Board of Education and the educational community.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

Owning a successful medical practice for 27 years all while raising a family.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

Be a blessing
