Ellington Community Funds Extends Call For Applications

The committee is now accepting applications for grants as well as for new committee members.

The Hartford Foundation’s Greater Together Community Fund Advisory Committee for the town of Ellington (Ellington Community Funds) is now accepting applications for grants as well as for new committee members.

Ellington Community Funds supports the community in taking ownership around the needs of the towns and encourages broad and inclusive civic engagement.

Organizations that support the Ellington community are encouraged to apply for a grant (requests from $250 to $15,000). In order to be considered, the organization must be a registered nonprofit with a 501(c)3 designation as a public charity or must obtain a fiscal agent that is registered as a 501(c)3 nonprofit.

The Advisory Committee helps identify the needs of the community and will be participating in the grantmaking process. They will “ensure that the Greater Together Community Funds can have the greatest impact for the benefit of town residents.” Applicants must be residents of Ellington. Students are encouraged to apply.

Organizations wanting to apply for a grant, as well as individuals wanting to apply to be on the advisory committee can apply online or get an application at the Hall Memorial Library. The deadline to apply as an advisory committee member is extended to Friday, January 22, 2021. The deadline for grant applications is also extended to Friday, January 22, 2021.
