Ellington Disturbance Leads To Gun Charge

A disturbance at an Ellinton Home late Sunday night left a resident with a gun charge, state police said.

ELLINGTON, CT — A disturbance at an Ellinton Home late Sunday night left a resident with a gun charge, state police said.

A police report did not specify an address because of the domestic nature of the incident.

The man arrested was Bryan Laplante, 58, of Ellington, according to a report.

He was charged with:

  • Illegal discharge of a firearm
  • First-degree reckless endangerment
  • First-degree threatening
  • Third-degree assault
  • Disorderly conduct

He was held overnight on a $100,000 bond and was to appear in court Monday, according to a report.
