Ellington Election Overview 2019 - Selectmen, Board of Education
A brief look at the candidates for first selectman, Board of Selectmen and Board of Education seats in Ellington, plus a sample ballot.

ELLINGTON, CT β Municipal elections around the country are just under three weeks away, and the ballot in Ellington contains a full slate of candidates for first selectman, Board of Selectmen and Board of Education.
Incumbent First Selectman Lori Spielman, a Republican, is being challenged by Democrat Peggy Busse. Six current members of the Board of Selectmen are seeking to retain their seats: Republicans John Turner, James Prichard, Ronald Stomberg and David Stavens, and Democrats Sarah Cook and Melinda Ferry. Democrat Jaime Foster, currently a member of the school board, is challenging for a Board of Selectmen seat.
Candidates for spots on the Board of Education are incumbent Republicans Michael Young and Kerry Socha and Democrat Elizabeth Nord. Challengers are Democrats Miriam Underwood, Aaron Foster and Jennifer Mullin.
